Tilt-Shift Photography
About a year ago (in 2009) I discovered tilt-shift photography and have been fascinated ever since. I eventually found a tutorial that described how to replicate this technique in Adobe Photoshop. This is my first attempt at the process. It is actually quite simple but I have discovered a few things that help contribute to the realism.
- Take the photo from up high if possible
- Indirect lighting seems more realistic
- Increase saturation heavily in Photoshop to make surfaces appear painted
- Use a linear gradient and the quick selection tool to select the part you want to blur and then do a lens blur
